At the end of October, we join Danyal and Buki picking olives and learning how to use rakes and nets. Once gathered into crates, the olives are taken to the mill where the careful pressing process is explained. The children enjoy tasting the oil that emerges. Students could develop and reinforce new vocabulary, by translating and repeating a range of expressions relevant to work and food which are featured in the clip, such as 'è difficile', 'che fatica', ‘delizioso’, ‘è buono’, ‘mi piace’, ‘che gustoso’.
