A Bitesize guide to experimenting with typography.

Students could follow the example in the clip and design a CD cover or music concert poster, concentrating on the text and selecting typography that expresses the musical style or mood of the music. They could write an accompanying explanation of their thought processes and final choices. As a quickfire exercise, the class could look at standard fonts on a computer and select those that they think are most suitable for different specific uses, such as a  text book, restaurant menu, or a flyer for a children’s soft play centre.
