A reconstruction of a mediation session between the accused and victim demonstrates the type of reparation that can be agreed upon in place of prosecution. The efficacy of this type of justice is discussed.
Pupils could create their own scenarios, with a victim and a perpetrator, and dramatise their own meetings. They could also write the victim's speech, as Susan did, as well as a response from the other party. The dramas could be shown throughout the class and rated for their credibility.
