This clip could be used as an example of a solution to transport problems in cities, and could be used as a stimulus to discuss sustainable transport issues in the UK. Learners could pose questions for investigation and then research transport management plans. They could investigate the causes and effects of congestion, either on a regional scale or within a local urban area. This could be used as a decision making exercise, reviewing and evaluating schemes already in place as well as those which are being proposed, and making recommendations to the local and national governments to improve sustainability in urban environments. Could be part of a unit of work on urban change or transport.
