The hare bumps into the tortoise and laughs at its slowness. So they have a race to see who is the fastest animal in the forest. But the hare gets distracted on the way to the final flag - who will win?
This clip could be used to learn how to say the comparison phrases 'faster than you', 'the same speed' or ' run faster' in Mandarin. Students could compare the rabbit and the turtle at the different stages of the race.
Students could retell or summarise the story in writing and check their stories using the English version. Were any parts of the story missed out? Were any parts misunderstood?
Note: This story is also available in English, with the title 'The Tortoise and the Hare' (animation).
