First broadcast:

Following the clip, students could construct a spider diagram, entitled 'The functions of Community Police Officers'. Then, students could be encouraged to undertake research within their school and local community into the different views of the work of Community Police Officers. Students could be provided with an investigation question of 'Do you believe there are enough Community Police Officers on the beat?' and survey local residents.
Following their research, they could be encouraged to construct bar charts or other diagrams to illustrate their findings.
