Pupils may go on a nature walk during early spring to identify and sketch early evidence of spring such as plant germination, flower buds, leaves beginning to grow on trees. Pupils could use sense sheets to describe the smells, sounds, sights and textures of local school gardens and parks (obviously not using the sense of taste). Pupils may use images of an area during each season to compare the plants and animals and predict the reasons for the differences.
