Jimmy uses a lawn mower and a mangle to squeeze his own apple juice concentrate. In Britain we consume 185 million litres of apple juice each year, he shows that by concentrating the juice it makes it easier to store and then transport, passing the savings on to the consumer.

Could be used to introduce the concept of product analysis. The class could evaluate the differences between fruit juices made with and without concentrates. Students might conduct a blind taste test, completing an attribute (or sensory) analysis - the attributes might be either pre-determined by the teacher or identified by the learners. Through this activity, learners could be prompted to comment on the flavour and consistency or the samples, reflecting on why lower priced juices are made using concentrates.
