Extract from the drama 'Turning Points STIs'. Teenager Peter is concerned that he has contracted an STI after he feels pain when urinating. He flashes back to the first time he had sex with his girlfriend and regrets not using a condom.
Ask the class "What should Peter do?" At various points in the clip, Peter could change how things are working out by talking to those around him. Try to identify the points when Peter could have done things differently. What could his girlfriend and her parents have done differently to prevent the STI? Ask pupils in pairs to imagine they are agony aunts. Ask them to write a letter, offering advice to Peter and his girlfriend. It might be worth giving pupils some cards with both good and bad suggestions to sort through first, before they write their letter.
