Give children a pre-prepared text describing an animal using informal language and opinions. Ask the children to consider where this extract was taken from. Encourage use of fiction and non fiction books. Watch the clip and then ask children to re-consider their answers. Create a checklist on a board from the points highlighted in the clip. Ask children to re-write the text using formal language and following the other teaching points.
