Muslims from Cardiff discuss the effects on their everyday lives following the terrorist attacks in London in July 2005 - or 7/7 as they came to be called. They condemn the atrocities carried out in the name of their faith.
Students could investigate what percentage of the population in Wales is Muslim. They could try and look for examples of racism or Islamophobia in local newspapers and discuss them in class. Learners could look at which groups are more successful in education, and examine the employment statistics of different ethnic groups in society. They should note two lifestyle areas where there is evidence of ethnic inequality. The class could research what institutional racism is and how it can affect the lives of some ethnic minorities. Ask them to explore the possible causes of racism.
