Extract from drama 'Offside' in which a series of incidents, initiated by racial tensions, culminate in a serious assault. Here, Shoaib's coach at the football club senses where the guilt lies for the assault and warns the group that they can expect no support if charged. He takes Shoaib aside and advises him to keep his distance from his team mates, to avoid being dragged down to their level. This has the effect of separating Shoaib further from the group, and when he discovers that it was Ryan who used the racist language, things come to a head.
