Can be used to introduce some vocabulary for birthday celebrations (happy birthday, presents, candles, birthday cake).
Discuss birthday presents using the words introduced: 'Spiele', 'Bücher', 'Spielzeug'.
Ask the children about their favourite fairy tales and fairy tale characters - it is likely that a few of them originate from Germany such as Sleeping Beauty, Snow White or Cinderella. You could introduce the German titles of the fairy tales and characters and explain the meaning of the words.
