Children should watch the clip first and look at the advantages of asylum and the disadvantages. What effects does it have on the child and family that are having to seek asylum? They could have 'circle time' about the importance of supporting refugees and not to stereotype them. Read Zlata's diary to them and then they could write a story about her. They could also offer advice to make her feel more welcome and at home.
