Use the clip to inform students’ research into diet and its relationship with growth and development of different organisms. As well as considering the energy requirements of our bodies, the specific roles of fats, proteins and carbohydrates should be discussed. Divide the class into different groups, each of which could consider a different vitamin or mineral, how it contributes to health and where our bodies get it from. In some cases this will not be through food.
