An introduction to photosynthesis explaining the reactants and products, where the process occurs and how plants use it to feed. The reaction is defined and it is explained how plants obtain water and carbon dioxide. Pond weed is shown producing bubbles of oxygen to demonstrate one of the products of photosynthesis. Finally it is demonstrated that light is necessary to provide energy for this reaction to occur.
