A young Hindu explains some essential beliefs of Hinduism concerning God and the purpose of life. He makes clear the Hindu belief in God as the Supreme Being and the existence of many lesser gods as expressions of aspects of that Supreme Being.

Following the clip, students could be asked to choose one of the three main Gods - Brahma (the creator), Vishnu (the preserver) or Shiva (the destroyer.) They could undertake further research into the different aspects and symbols of the God they have chosen, including sourcing artwork which illustrates Hindu beliefs. They could present their findings to the class.
