After watching the clip, students could be asked to list the major parts of the eye, the specialised cells that they are made of. The class could discuss sight in terms of nervous control, reflexes and sensory, relay and motor neurons. A flow diagram could be created that explains each stage and the cells involved. Students could take apart discarded cameras and relate the components to the eye (this works with both analogue and digital cameras). The evolution of the eye could be discussed, considering different types of eyes and light receptors in nature.
