See You See Me, Coastal Birds

Useful as an introduction to habitats and food chains. The children could visit a coastal area if appropriate or read children's books set in the coastal towns and villages to identify birds. This could lead on to a simple research activity where the children use books or the internet to find out what the birds eat and draw simple food chains. Useful for art work based on seaside birds and for a musical activity looking at and trying to make the bird sounds using a range of instruments.
