A group of young people experience the voting system used by Assembly Members during a debate in the chamber.

The class could study how political systems work locally, nationally and internationally, and the links between political decisions and the lives of young people. Students could research and compare the electoral procedures, and law making powers of the devolved legislations in the UK.

Ask each student to think of three reasons to vote and rank their reasons from most important to least important. Students could mind map, 'How I would decide who to vote for?'
