Papo the parrot flies into a primary school in France and spends the day with the pupils. They teach him some everyday French phrases related to school life, and he learns about French school routines.
Students could introduce themselves in French to their classmates and the register could be taken in French each day. Students could create a visual classroom timetable in French and label all of their classroom equipment in the same way. Teacher commands such as 'silence', 'ecoutez', 'en rang', 'repetez apres moi' and 'asseyez vous' could be used throughout all lessons in the classroom. Students could also use this clip to compare the school day in France with that in Scotland, listing similarities and differences in French.
