  • three interactive activities

Coin shapes

Watch the video below from BBC Bitesize to find out about the shapes of different coins.

Activity 1

Making coins

Print and cut out the page of coins from Twinkl below or make your own using paper or card. Get an adult's help when using scissors.

Make three of each coin - 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, £1, £2.

  • How many different shapes are there?

  • How many coins are there in total?

  • How much money do you have altogether? What would you like to buy with this much money?

Keep your coins somewhere safe! They will be used in more activities this week.

You can make coins using card and a felt-tip pen.
