Woman's Hour - Sue MacGregor Interviews Enid Blyton

Sue MacGregor chats to author Enid Blyton about the process of writing her best-selling books. Blyton also reveals how she draws inspiration from real-life people and how her characters have become popular across the world.

Although Sue MacGregor recorded this interview in January 1966 it wasn't broadcast until eight years later, six years after Enid's death. According to the Index Translationum, UNESCO's inventory of book translations, as of June 2019, Enid Blyton was the world's fourth most-translated author.
