Rebels - Guy Burgess

An Old Etonian with poor eyesight and a brilliant intellect, Guy Burgess was recruited to the communist cause while a student at Cambridge. Friends, relatives and colleagues describe the man they knew and speculate on the reasons behind his decision to betray his country.

The photograph shows Guy Burgess sunbathing whilst on holiday in Sochi by the Black Sea in 1956. He was joined by his mother Eve on a rare visit from England.
