News - Sport in Art Exhibition

This short news item takes us around some of the artworks about sport in an exhibition opened by the Duchess of Gloucester at the Victoria and Albert Museum. It features sculpture, paintings, posters and architectural models all competing for prizes in the 14th Olympiad.

Also on display is a book from the last Olympic Games that contains Adolf Hitler's signature. As a young woman, the Duchess of Gloucester was an intrepid traveller. She once entered a forbidden area of Afghanistan by disguising herself as a boy.
