Are you interested in how we can increasingly use data for the benefit of Bristol's residents and visitors, humanity and our planet at large?

Open Data Project Pitches

Wednesday

h

bristol, Arnolfini,16 Narrow Quay, BS1 4QA

Description

This event will provide an opportunity for people and organisations to pitch for one of three £1,500 commission awards available and showcase work to a Bristolian audience.

Project entry criteria includes using open data from the Bristol API or Bristol Open Data platforms to improve aspects of the city's neighbourhoods, homes, transport or connectivity.

An application form must be completed in order to be selected for one of 12 pitch places. 60 audience tickets are also available.

The commissioned projects will have three months to deliver their solution.

Local investors will also be invited to consider funding the projects, with no required commitment. Technology and data experts and enthusiasts are very much welcome to be part of the audience and to make use of the opportunity to try out cutting edge prototypes.

It is due to the generosity of our event partners and sponsors that we are able to offer this opportunity.

Who is this for?

Anyone aspiring to work in the tech and creative industries - young professionals, entry level new starters, career changers, university and college students.
