BBC Young Reporter is an exciting opportunity for young people to get involved with the BBC.
If you are 11 to 18 years old then this is a chance for you to tell the stories that matter to you.
BBC Young Reporter (formerly School Report) works in partnership with schools, colleges, youth organisations and charities to provide young people with the skills they need to create and understand the media.
Schools and organisations taking part will benefit from access to exclusive events, training and resources, as well as mentoring and career talks from BBC staff and journalists.
The project is backed by the likes of Huw Edwards, Tina Daheley, Steph McGovern, The One Show's Alex Jones, BBC Newsbeat's Roisin Hastie and Ben Mundy and Newsround's Ricky Boleto.

How to get involved
If you’re a young person aged between 11 and 18, you can take part in the BBC Young Reporter Competition. It’s a unique opportunity to share your story ideas with BBC journalists, producers and programme makers, with the best ideas being selected and broadcast across the BBC on television, radio or online. Schools, colleges, home schools, youth organisations and community groups based in the United Kingdom that work with young people aged 11-18 can register their details with us. We'll then send you all the information you need about events, resources and opportunities that will take place throughout the year.
Engaging with children is at the very heart of our remit as a public services broadcaster and the BBC has guidelines on child protection, our Code of Conduct and working with children.
We ask you to seek parental consent for all the young people taking part in the project. The BBC has plenty of advice on keeping your reports safe and legal, alongside information about our use of social media.
