Cruse Bereavement Care provides information, support and advice to people who have lost someone close to them. Last year, the charity helped over 3,000 people across the whole of Northern Ireland.

For most people, bereavement will be the most distressing experience they will ever face. Grief is what people feel when somebody close to them dies, and everyone experiences grief differently. There is no 'normal' or 'right' way to grieve. At Cruse, trained volunteers offer support to both adults and children affected by bereavement, in a professional, safe and supportive environment.

Recently, Coronavirus has had a big impact on everyone and everything. It has also affected the work of Cruse, meaning that there has been a much bigger emphasis on its telephone support services. If you think that you could get involved as a Cruse volunteer, or help with the fundraising on which so much of the charity’s work depends, then please contact Cruse by calling 028 9079 2419 or by email northern.ireland@cruse.org.uk. Alternatively, you can find out more about the charity by visiting the Cruse website.
