Age NI has been providing well-being services, advice and support to older people for almost forty years.

Coronavirus has had a significant impact on everyone. It has also highlighted some of the challenges being faced by older people – many of whom feel invisible, isolated and increasingly lonely.

Age NI has a range of volunteering opportunities available, including its ‘Check in and Chat’ telephone service. This is for anyone who is over 60yrs in Northern Ireland, who may be feeling isolated or lonely. A telephone call once a week can make a big difference to an older person who is living alone.

If you would like to find out more about volunteering opportunities with Age NI, or if you or someone you know could benefit from the ‘Check in and Chat’ telephone service, then please get in touch with the charity on 0808 808 7575 or visit its website to find out more.
