KENT BLUE

KENT BLUE (October Road Studios)
Scriptwriter

Where do you live/ where are you from? What's it like?

I live in Owensboro, Kentucky, USA. It is a nice, average size town. However, there is nothing to do here.

How old are you?

I am 25 years old.

What do you do? And is there something else you'd rather be doing?

I am the manager at at used book and movie store. I would much rather be doing something in film, such as writing or directing.

What are your hobbies/likes/interests?

I love to read and write. I go to a lot of movies and play video games. I love football.

What's the strangest thing you do on a regular basis?

The strangest thing I do is probably the fact that I start my workday everyday by listening to "The Last Saskatchewan Pirate" by Captain Tractor. It's a great pirate tune that puts me in a good mood before dealing with the public for seven hours.

How did you get involved in the 'online community'? Are your internet friends 'real' friends?

I got involved with the 'online community' through YouTube. I'm not a big internet guy, but I love making online videos for our channel, October Road Studios.

What do you put on your Youtube channel (if you have one)? Why do you have a Youtube channel?

We put up comedy sketches. We have a running series called "The Basement" which is a collection of short sketches rolled into one show. Think Robot Chicken but better...and with real people. It's something we can do to have fun and get away from everyday life once in a while.

Is this your first film project? Would you consider yourself a professional, an amateur, a complete beginner? Rate yourself.

This is my first film project. I've been part of music videos and weddings before, but never film. I would have to say that I am an amateur.

What's the best film ever made? What's the best horror film ever made, and why?

The best film ever made has to be "No Country For Old Men". I love this film and can watch it on a daily basis. As far as horror films go, "The Descent" is my favorite. This film has such great atmosphere and intensity.

What's your motivation for writing?

I've always wanted to write. I mean since I was little I was always writing short stories. I just love the feel of looking at a page and seeing words that I have written. There is no better feeling than creating and if other people like it, then that makes it all the better.

What's the best thing you've ever written?

I once wrote a short zombie film that I would have to say is my best writing. However, I feel like the scenes I am writing for this project is going to give that a run for its money.

What's the worst thing you've ever written?

Anything I wrote in high school is easily my worst writing. Forced writing sucks.

Why are you taking part in the Internet Zombie Movie? Fame, fortune, practice, boredom?

I am taking part in the Internet Zombie Movie because I loved the idea when I heard it. It is also something that I can one day look at and say 'I helped create that'. Just thinking about that gives me goosebumps.

What one scene are you determined to include in the film?

There is a scene I wrote about falling zombies that I want to see in the film. I don't want to elaborate on it because the scene should be funny and have a great scare in it that I don't want to ruin.
