Wigmore Concert Series 2004
Adam Walker, the flautist, made his debut on 16 November and really made the Wigmore stage his own. Accompanied by Max Ritchie, his programme of perhaps slightly less well known works, including Eldin Burton, Widor and Sibelius , was a real treat for the audience who, although small, made their enthusiasm and appreciation known for such an outstanding performance. One audience member on leaving the hall was heard to say "Quite simply, the best flute recital I've ever heard". |
