About the contributor

Ken Rawlinson

The contributions about life as a soldier in the 14th Army have been submitted by Ken Rawlinson's son. Ken wrote these a while back to offer the 'ordinary' soldier's perspective on the great events in which he took part. Initially serving in the Royal Tank Regiment as a driver, he eventually wound up showing films to the troops. He would be particularly keen to hear from anyone who remembers the mobile Kinema units which he took all over the country.
