I was 6 years old when the war started on september 3rd 1939.My name Kathleen (Billy) Rimmer our lives were never to be the same again. 70 years old now, but those years 5 years made enormous changes to our lives. No doubt one of the biggest changes was the sleepy town of Malvern ,suddenly was swarming with NEW people, all of whom were placed in the local houses Hotels and Schools, we didn't know then, but the valuable work and research that was happening at RRE(radar research establishment)must have had an important outcome to winning the war.
