At four years old i went into Coventry and Warwickshire hospital to have my tonsils removed, luckly for me i was discharged shortly before it was bombed. Can anyone remember the year of this bombing?

As a child in St Luke's Rd, Coventry I remember one night in my friends Anderson Shelter when a bomb landed in her garden! Fortunatly it did not go off but it uprooted everything around. Another neighbour later told me that a plank of wood from the garden flew by them and through their window.
We then had to be quickly evacuated to another shelter at my auntie's house in Beacon Rd.

Another time in my auntie's shelter I remember the sky lighting up. I later discovered that the Brookville cinema had been hit by an incendery bomb.
