John William Fearn (second from right).

This photograph was submitted to the site by Jemma Bellingham on behalf of Mrs Armstrong.
John William Fearn was her brother-in-law. He grew up in Lancaster and was called up to join the Army at the Durranhill Camp in Carlisle.
We believe this photograph was taken in Bombay in 1943.
