'CLEANERS' Writing Team
- meet the seven writers
Angela Churm
Angela has been writing since she was six years old. She writes freelance features and has been published by IPC, Emap, Bauer Publishing, and Titan publishing, among others. She also does inspirational verse for Bluemountain Arts in America and WPL in the UK, and is chair of Derby Scriptwriters; developing scriptwriting talent in the East Midlands. Angela is currently working on a novel which has the interest of a London agent. She writes sketches and scripts with Chrissie Hall.

Chrissie Hall
Chrissie’s been writing for years - local history features, short stories, pub theatre and stage scripts. She's co-written with Angela for the last seven months and says, "It’s a lot of fun working together, our styles complement each other." She's a founder member and currently Secretary of Derby Scriptwriters. Chrissie feels the support of group members and training opportunities available through the group have been absolutely crucial to the development of her writing.

Richard Fair
Richard once wrote radio commercials and has only just managed to stop writing in 30-second chunks. He worked at BBC GMR in Manchester where he wrote and performed a number of comedy skits/sketches and drop-ins which included a brass band who managed to perform entirely with their mouths. He never misses 'The League of Gentlemen', which isn't surprising as he’s 'local' to where they film it!
