Zeinab Badawi interviews Salva Kiir, the first elected president of the semi-autonomous southern region of Sudan, for BBC World News's One Square Mile series. The leader of south Sudan's former rebel group the SPLM, was sworn in as president following his landslide victory in April's elections.
I am extremely respectful of and grateful to the tax payers of Great Britain who are financing the BBC... I understand that it is difficult to define a budget for an organisation at a time of economic crisis.
