Reports on compliance and regulatory matters
BBC World Service Management Board is operationally responsible for complying
with the BBC's Broadcasting Agreement and Financial Memorandum with the
Foreign and Commonwealth office.
Ultimate responsibility for the BBC
World Service is vested in the BBC Trust, which is the sovereign body
of the Corporation. On 1 January 2007 the Board of Governors was replaced
by the BBC Trust and the BBC Executive Board; their respective responsibilities
relating to the operation of BBC World Service are outlined in a protocol
published by the BBC Trust. The Trust and the Executive Board ensure
that BBC World Service operates responsibly and maintains high standards
of editorial integrity and content.
