Our work in Europe

Much of the BBC World Service Trust's work in Europe focuses on promoting good governance, human rights and the rule of law. This is achieved through dedicated programming and strengthening the media in Russia, the Ukraine, Serbia and Albania.

Regional projects

In Serbia and Albania, we raised awareness of human trafficking and engaged with local communities in the worst affected regions.

Projects by country

We are currently working in Moldova, Montenegro, Romania and Serbia.

In the past, we have worked in Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia, Russia and the Ukraine.
