Mo Kamba - working side-by-side
Radio youth discussion programme, Mo Kamba, was broadcast from the studios of Radio Nacional Angola (RNA) and Radio Luanda.
We delivered extensive training to technical staff and presenters from these stations, so they could work side by side with our production team on the programme.
Teste Viju - learning new skillsThe production of the interactive radio quiz show,Teste Viju, involved training radio producers, presenters and technical staff across Angola in the technical and editorial skills necessary to produce the live elements of the quiz show.
The workshops focused on building skills and knowledge in three different areas:
- HIV and AIDS - (technical content was provided by UNICEF)
- Basic radio production skills - hands on training and exercises
- Digital editing skills - hands on training and exercises
The training scheme provided the radio producers with the tools and technical knowledge to communicate HIV and AIDS related issues, such as symptoms, causes, prevention, treatment and misconceptions.
A total of 42 participants came from:
- 18 RNA provincial station
- RNA's national network, Channel A
- Radio Escola, based in Luanda
- Three private FM radio stations (Radio Comercial de Cabinda - Cabinda, Radio Morena - Benguela, Radio 2000 - Lubango
Continued training
We continued to provide ongoing training to a wide array of staff at RNA and affiliate stations in both basic and advanced radio production skills, digital editing techniques and a variety of other workshops given by international and local specialists.
