The Barnaamijka Xoolaha (livestock programme) production team made two pilot programmes in May and June 2005 in preparation for the launch of the series at the end of August. The content of the shows was collected on a long research trip to the main livestock centre in northern Somalia, Burco market and to one of the main exporting ports, Berbera.
