Richard Sambrook

Richard Sambrook is the Chair of the BBC World Service Trust. As Director of the BBC's Global News division, he is responsible for leading the BBC's international news services across radio, television and new media. As Director of BBC News from 2001 to 2004, Richard led the world's biggest broadcast news operation. Prior to that, from 1999 to 2001, he was Deputy Director of the News division. He also served as acting Director of Sport from April to October 2000 during the then Director-General Greg Dyke's restructuring of the corporation. During his career in BBC News, Richard has worked as a producer and programme editor on the BBC's national TV news programmes.
Bhupendra Mistry

Bhupendra Mistry has served in senior positions in community development and regeneration within central and local government, and in the not-for-profit sector in Birmingham, London and the North West of England. Currently, he is a board member of Carnegie UK Trust, the Harvest Housing Group, and the Home Office Advisory Board - Futurebuilders. He is also a Specialist Advisor to the Board of Leicester Regeneration Company on matters relating to community engagement and social and economic development.
Michael C McCulloch

Michael is a Member of the Investment Committee of Europolis Invest AG, a co-investment of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Investkredit Bank AG of Austria, to develop a commercial property portfolio in Central and Eastern Europe. He chairs the Board of two NGOs: BEARR Trust, which supports social reform and NGOs in Russia and Eurasia; and Riders for Health, which promotes reliable transport for health care in Africa. He is also a Trustee of British Consultancy Charitable Trust, which provides senior volunteers for enterprise development.
Professor J Patrick Vaughan, CBE

J Patrick Vaughan is professor emeritus in epidemiology and public health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He has a wide research experience in communicable diseases, maternal and child health, and in health systems in Bangladesh, Brazil, India and Tanzania. He has published more than 120 articles in international scientific journals and coauthored nine books on public health. He has had extensive consultancy experience with many international agencies, including WHO, UNICEF, UNAIDS, GAVI and DFID.
Richard Manning
Richard Manning has worked in international development since joining the Department for International Development's (DFID) ancestor, the Ministry of Overseas Development, in 1965. He was Director General first at ODA then DFID from 1996-2003. From June 2003 to January 2008 he was Chair of the Development Assistance Committee of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). His current positions include chairing the Boards of the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) and the Health Metrics Network.
Susan Robinson King

Susan Robinson King is Vice President, External Affairs, Director of Journalism Initiative, Special initiatives and Strategy at the Carnegie Corporation of New York. She is responsible for external relations and for devising strategies to ensure the Corporation's work has an impact on society. She oversees the Corporation's communications, including its publications, website and media and dissemination grant program. She leads the Corporation's Journalism Initiative, which focuses on university based journalism education, including its role in preparing the next generation of media leaders and its commitment to strengthening journalism's seminal position in a democratic society.
Zarin Patel

Zarin Patel is Group Finance Director for the BBC and a member of its Executive Board, reporting to Director-General Mark Thompson. Zarin joined the BBC in 1998 as Group Financial Controller. During her three years in that role she achieved a transformation of the organisation which allowed the BBC to redirect substantial new investment into programming from overhead savings. In 2004, Zarin Patel was declared 'Client Marketer of the Year' by London-based direct marketing trade magazine Precision Marketing, an accolade that recognised her skills at spearheading the marketing operation of TV Licensing. After graduating in economics from the London School of Economics in 1982, Zarin trained as a chartered accountant with KPMG, where she gained 15 years' experience at a senior level with multi-national corporations across the industrial and commercial sectors. Zarin is also a Governor for the University of Arts in London.

Lindsey North

Lindsey North is the Controller Legal/Rights of the BBC's Global News Division. She joined the BBC Corporate legal team in 1998, where she was responsible for all legal input into the BBC's UKTV channel joint venture with Telewest and its co-production and international channel arrangements with Discovery Communications. In 2004 she was appointed Head of Legal, BBC World Service. In 2006 she was appointed to Management Board and became Controller Legal/Rights of the Global News Division in March 2007.
