The ICC chief executive Haroon Lorgat has played down the stoning of the West Indies team bus following their cricket World Cup match against Bangladesh in Mirpur on Friday.

Fans threw stones in the mistaken belief that they were attacking the Bangladesh team bus. They were angry that the tournament co-hosts had been beaten by nine wickets, having been dismissed for just 58, their lowest ever one-day score.

Nobody was hurt in the incident, but Lorgat says that measures are in place to ensure there is no repeat of such occurrences.
