The former Brazil striker Ronaldo has announced his retirement from football.
The 34 year-old former Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter and AC Milan forward helped Brazil to lift the World Cup in 2002, scoring both goals in the two-nil win over Germany in the final. He became the leading scorer in World Cup finals history when he scored his fifteenth goal at the 2006 tournament.
Ronaldo finished his international career with 62 goals in 97 appearances.
