The Hoff and The Toff

David Hasselhoff is, according to Guinness World Records, the most watched TV star in the world thanks to his leading roles in "Knight Rider" in the 1980s and "Baywatch" in the 1990s.

At its peak Baywatch was shown in 142 countries to an audience of more than one billion people.

David Hasselhoff travelled around the world promoting these programmes and pursing his pop career.

And now he is enjoying another wave of fame via the internet where his growing cult as "The Hoff" has brought him to a new generation of fans.
