Bashar outside on Al-Mutanabi Street
"Through all that is happening to Iraq, there is still hope.

"As long as I go to Al-Mutanabi Street and I find some small kid looking for a book, or a poor man who has decided to take his food money to buy one, or an old man challenged by the 70 years his body carries and the hot summer sun, to go to Al-Shahbandar coffee shop in the hope of taking part in the Iraqi cultural struggle in these dark times.

"Believe me these people exist. These people are the hope that we can build a civilised country, my Iraq."
