If an aspect of local law seems counter to fundamental freedoms or democratic principles, or represents a serious impediment to responsible programme making, you must consult your Head of Department or Commissioning Executive about the appropriate way to proceed. They should in turn consult the Controller of Editorial Policy, if necessary.
