Relatives wait for news of those held in Ethiopia |
The Horn of Africa has become a key battleground in the so-called war on terror. Early last year, plane-loads of terrorism suspects were flown from Kenya via Somalia to Ethiopia.
The detainees were then imprisoned in Addis Ababa and reportedly interrogated by American agents. Most were released without charge after months in detention.
But more than a year and a half on, some are still being detained in what is been called Africa's Guantanamo. Robert Walker investigates for Assignment.
