President Bush has described the achieving of peace in Northern Ireland as an inspiration around the world.
A power-sharing administration is in place there, bringing together old enemies; the IRA and other paramilitary groups have put down their weapons; and the British army presence has been dramatically scaled back.
Andrew Whitehead reported on the early stages of the peace process ten years ago - for Assignment, he returns to Northern Ireland to see how much has changed and asks if the region can be a model for resolving conflicts elsewhere.
