Claudia talks to young people in China about their future

That China has enjoyed an economic boom in recent years is hardly a secret. Career opportunities for young people have rarely been better, many students are able to study abroad in Europe or the US but still chose to return home as they see greater prospects in China than in the west.

It is a very different situation to that of their parents who grew up in the Cultural Revolution - many separated from their own parents who had to find work far away from home.

For today's urban youth in China, the future looks bright indeed, but has the one child policy had it's own effect on their generation?

Claudia is a Student in Beijing - and in a special report for World Service Radio - has been speaking to some of her contemporaries about where they see their futures in the New China and firstly, how they've been affected by being the only child in their families.....
